Some companies have an HR department that offers mediation for these sorts of situations. They’ll bring in a third party and make sure that you can sort things out. It’s HR’s job to try and work out issues like this, and as long as they have protocol in place, they can be a really helpful resource as you try to sort all of this out.
Look at what your options are. Talk to a lawyer if you’re really concerned and make sure that you are within your legal rights, no matter what you decide to do. In the long run, you could be saving yourself and other employees a lot of stress and headache.
